UNITY AND THE TROJAN HORSE

One of the most challenging factors for me as a representative of the kingdom of God is hearing His voice and seeing His works beyond the circumstantial realm of our society. As the political fields of our nation narrow down to its next form of government [administration], the airways are being injected with persuasive forces. Due to the verbal congestion that arises in times like these, prophetic words are often far more proliferate prior to these congestive periods. Our spiritual climate can become so saturated with the latest verbiage of the day that even the most accurate prophetic voices are in danger of major deceptive influences. Therefore, we are challenged to separate ourselves from the latest political clamor and draw near to the still small voice that can only be heard within the sphere of intimacy with God. This does not negate the need for continual injections of the intentions and promises of God that are given along the way to keep the body of Christ in faith in times like these.
Once the air of deception is lightened and the next President of these United States is made known, I’m sure we will discover, once again, that the accuracy of the final outcome was revealed many months or years prior. Oftentimes our need to be heard or to have spiritual influence in the earth is easily influenced by the prophetic river, via the internet. On one hand it is very encouraging to read what God is saying through the rest of His body, while on the other hand it is easy to take on the words of others if they were your own, without hearing God for yourself. Thus a stream of prophecy can be released into the earth that is still nothing more than an echo of the one or two. Obviously God has no intentions of limiting His voice to the one or two. Therefore, all of creation is listening for a more corporate expression of heaven on earth.
Spritual Certainty
Since we are all in the same boat to advance the kingdom of God, it would serve our journey well if we would distribute our prophetic weight equally, thus lessening the possibility of capsizing the vessels of God along the way. This means that sooner or later you have to enter into your own realm of spiritual certainty. One of the greatest hindrances to walking in the foreknowledge of the Spirit is giving into the fear of uncertainty. We are certainly no strangers to the reality of how fearfully driven our society can become during governmental shifts. What if we get the wrong president? What if the other side takes over? What will happen to our nation? What will happen to our economy? All of these fears collectively become a primary hindrance to hearing from heaven. As a body of believers in Jesus Christ, one of the greatest challenges we face today is convincing our nation the importance of keeping a righteous government in play.
As we look at the surface of things that have happened over the last eight years under the auspices of a righteous president (maybe not as righteous as some would have liked or believed, but righteous nonetheless) some would feel less convinced to vote the same. We have been devastated by acts of terrorism. We have been in war. We have experienced some of the greatest natural catastrophes ever recorded in our nation’s history. In addition to all of this our economy has experienced its worse stock market decline since the crash in 1923. To top it off, there are countless Christians who believe, in spite of our righteous government, that God is punishing our nation because of its unrighteousness. No doubt the enemy has been postured to take full advantage of a divided house, not only within the government of our nation, but within the government of the church.
Corporate Righeousness
Now here we are in the wake of a new election trying to convince the people of these United States the grave importance of keeping a righteous government in position. It’s not enough to say that the decisions of past administrations resulted in our present day wreckage, though evidence may prove otherwise. It certainly does not suffice to say, “If we could get a president or vice president more righteous than the last, then it would be much smoother sailing.” If this is not the solution, then what? What is the answer to our governmental dilemma?
If these past years have shown us anything, they have shown us that in spite of the righteous few who are at the helm of the ship, it still requires a cooperative righteous effort from the rest of the governing body to release the full intentions of God in the earth. While we might have enjoyed having a righteous president in office, we have not “enjoyed” a house divided against it self. Whether in the White House of these United States, or within the government of the church, a house divided against it self cannot stand. The holes of division will always make room for the enemy to come in and tear the house down from the inside out. This governmental division is the direct result of a body of believers who quickly separate themselves from anything that does not appeal to their present understanding of how God should govern the earth. We are still extremely prejudiced toward the various forms that God chooses to display His glory. It has been no secret that many political leaders have despised the outward appearance of President Bush, let alone his governing decisions. How can this goofy looking cowboy from Texas properly represent the highest office of the United States?
The rejection of form was even more apparent when Todd Bentley (Fresh Fire Ministries) appeared on the national platform of ministry. The hearts of global prejudices were not the result of seeing healings and miracles, but the form through which they came. For most, Todd Bentley was not their vessel of choice. This is not an effort to minimize the personal issues in Todd’s life that need attention, no more than it minimizes the personal issues in our own lives that need special attention. Yet, this is an strong indicator that no matter how anointed or gifted we might be, the power of a divided house can hit you with such force that its darkening presence can weaken you to the vulnerabilities of your own flesh. Many refused to accept Jesus Christ as being the Son of God, primarily because of His form. Still today, many have yet to recognize that the form of this world is passing away.
Mantles of Unity
God is presently raising up men and women into the highest levels of government. These men and women have been mantled with a spirit of a unity. The Lord showed me, a number of years back, that the dividing walls of government within the church and the nations of this world would come down. The dividing walls of church and state are coming down. The dividing walls of kingdom ministry are coming down. Jesus did not tell Peter that righteousness might prevail, He said, “The gates of hell will not prevail.” We must be careful not to set our sights on a single man or woman as being the answer for the prevailing force of the hour. We must fix our eyes on a corporate government; a corporate expression of heaven on earth. Only then will we be able to walk in a greater sphere of true kingdom authority and power. If you are still looking for a single man or woman to lead you, then you can expect to be greatly disappointed. Platforms that are primarily based on individual performance are about to collapse at unprecedented level. God has anointed individual lives for corporate purposes. As Individuals, by the grace of God, we can open doors of opportunities, but only corporately can we keep them open. History has shown us that battles can be won by Gideon’s few, but it requires many more to inhabit the land. This is not to minimize the honor that should be given to the individuals who have run the race before us. Now the individual faithfulness of the body of Christ is evolving into a corporate banner of unity for all to see and love.
Get ready for a severe blow to the media of this nation that has been dealing the hand of disunity. Prepare yourself for a major blow that is coming to the government of this nation and the church for breeding division in the hearts of God’s people. We have been living off a measure of grace that has now run out. The markets of buying and selling the electors of this nation are now closed. The house of God that cannot be divided has appeared on the scene and no amount of money will be able to divide her faithfulness toward the kingdom of God.
The Trojan Horse
The story of the Trojan horse is believed to have come from the oracles of the Greek poet, Homer. Homer is traditionally said to be the author of the epic poems the Iliad and the Odyssey. I am using this brief excerpt of the Trojan War, thus the Trojan horse, not as fiction or non-fiction, but as a simple analogy of the prophetic period that we are now in. Please note that this analogy is in reference to the spiritual climate of this nation as a whole, not just in the kingdom of politics.
It is said that the Greeks won many important battles and the Trojan hero Hector fell, as did the Trojan ally, Penthesilea. However, the Greeks could not break down the walls of Troy. Still seeking to gain entrance into Troy, clever Odysseus (some say with the aid of Athena) ordered a large wooden horse to be built. Its insides were to be hollow so that soldiers could hide within it. Once the statue had been built by the artist Epeius, a number of the Greek warriors, along with Odysseus, climbed inside. The rest of the Greek fleet sailed away, so as to deceive the Trojans. One man, Sinon, was left behind. When the Trojans came to marvel at the huge creation, Sinon pretended to be angry with the Greeks, stating that they had deserted him. He assured the Trojans that the wooden horse was safe and would bring luck to the Trojans. Only two people, Laocoon and Cassandra, spoke out against the horse, but they were ignored. The Trojans celebrated what they thought was their victory, and dragged the wooden horse into Troy. That night, after most of Troy was asleep or in a drunken stupor, Sinon let the Greek warriors out from the horse, and they slaughtered the Trojans.
A couple years ago the Lord revealed to me that He was moving His people into governmental positions through stealth mode. Like the Trojan horse, some will think they are receiving an enormous gift, only to discover later, that out of its belly will flow a righteousness which will destroy the works of darkness. When Jesus appeared on the scene, He appeared below the radar of visibility. Even as he neared the cross, outside of the few that knew Him, His full intentions remained undetected. The Bible states, ‘Had they known Him, meaning His true form and intentions, they would have never crucified Him.’
“But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory, which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. But as it is written: "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for those who love Him." (1Cor 2:7-9)
Once again, I believe the current shift of government presently upon the land is one of righteousness, not unrighteousness. However, we must be careful to recognize the form in which righteousness chooses to appear. Some forms are certainly more pleasing than others. Personally I think it would be very refreshing to have an attractive vice president such as Sarah Palin. No doubt she would be a stark contrast to those gone before her. Not to mention the fact that she makes John McCain look much more appealing, at least on the surface. (Humor)
Nonetheless, true righteousness must be spiritually discerned beyond the surface and sphere of political correctness. Therein lies the greatest challenge, to see how God will choose to infiltrate this nation with a corporate unity of faith. No doubt the pattern of past choices bears significant weight on future decisions. However, in the end, even those who have been proven by the pattern of rightness have been known to bow to unforeseen pressures.
As long as we believe that the future government of this land is solely dependent upon the few that are elected into office, then we will never rise into the government of heaven that is presently working within all of us right now. While God has given us presidents and governors for this time and hour, like the Law of Moses, they are mere tutors to the government of faith. We must learn to govern ourselves under the auspices of the Holy Spirit. We must remember that we are no longer under the law, because we have chosen to live by a higher standard of righteous living.
“For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. (Romans 8:3-5)
May we all endeavor to set our minds on the things of the Spirit and make visible the kingdom of God that is destined to be realized throughout the whole earth.
