"HAVE DOMINION OVER THE WORKS OF THE ENEMYAND THE WORKS OF CREATION"

For decades there has been a saying going around, “It’s not the size of the guy in the fight, but the size of the fight in the guy.” That might not be true in every case, but it certainly has some validity to it. Such was the case when it came to David and Goliath. The size of Goliath did not intimidate the size of faith that was in David. Undoubtedly, David saw himself as a giant of a man in God. This leads us to an understanding of who we are in the spirit. It is easy sometimes to become overwhelmed by the magnitude of a circumstance. David’s perception of God; of himself in God, enabled him to bring down the paralyzing presence that one giant Philistine had over an entire army.
We are conditioned at a very young age to either feel smaller or larger than the challenges of life. I feel the certainty of the Lord toward you this day. Whatever it is that you are facing, whatever the circumstance; you will overcome. Many of you reading this might feel captured beneath the weight of an enormous challenge, but let me assure you, let me encourage you, you will overcome, because for your sake, He has already overcome every possible scenario that you might be facing today. We are living in a time when we are being reconditioned for great things. We are being delivered from the former conditions of our childhood or previous experiences that once reduced us to a lower state of being. I heard someone recently say, “The light you saw in the tunnel of your dream or vision was not an on coming train, it was the destined promise of the Lord for your life.” So let me encourage you to step out into a greater realm of faith, believing that you will not only overcome the spirits that have tried to haunt you into despair, but you will break through into a greater realm of having dominion in the earth.
The larger components of creation can make us feel like a mere grain of sand at the edge of the ocean. The enormity of the sun, moon and stars can easily intimidate someone into believing that the spirit of God in them isn’t large enough to contend with such an awesome display of beauty and power. In my previous article “The power to inspire the universe” David draws our attention to such a wonder of thought.
“When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, The moon and the stars, which You have ordained, What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him? For You have made him a little lower than the angels, And You have crowned him with glory and honor. You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands…”(Ps 8:3-6)
At first it appears as though David is on the downside of thinking that no man could compare himself to the awesome works of the cosmos, but then we quickly realize that as great as the heavens are, David places all those splendid works under the auspice of humanity. “You have made him to have dominion over the works of your hands.” (Ps 8:6)
This is the challenging realm of perception that the spirit of God is leading His people into today. He is leading us into a mind where we recognize that His love for us not only exceeds the splendor of His hands, but that we are destined to rule over those same works. So in real terms this means that we are not only to have dominion over all the works of the enemy, but that we are also to have dominion over all the works of the heavens as well. Unfortunately, greed and selfishness have captured countless hearts and minds into becoming poor caretakers of planet earth, let alone the heavens above. The recent oil spilling into the Gulf Coast has reminded us how careless we can be when it comes to caring for the works of His hands. However, let me assure you, as tragic as this oil spill is, there will be a great recovery. There will be a divine intervention. The oil will be consumed in ways unimaginable. What man failed to do, the earth will do. Hear the mystery of the Lord, “All of creation is ready and willing to respond to the sound of heaven in us.”
I feel the mysteries of the Spirit stirring me. I see unusual activity taking place, not just in the heavens above, but in the earth. In my recent video “Have Dominion”, I reminded everyone of a previous word at the end of 2009 and again in February 2010. Here is an insert from the article “A Brilliant Hour.”
“We are living in a time when unusual attention will be given to the sun and the moon, as well as unusual activity that will occur because of their light and movement. This unusual observance will be the result of a wonder from heaven, indicating that we have entered into a time of extraordinary brilliance. We are about to witness some phenomenal displays of God’s brilliant glory, both in the heavens and in the earth.” To read full article (click here) The Lord told us to watch the sun and moon because we were going to see them act in a way we have never seen them act before. Shortly after that prophetic word, we witnessed the longest annular solar eclipse in a thousand years on January 15, 2010. This particular eclipse was called the “Ring of Fire.” The last ring of fire eclipse was noted in 1965. (See news article) More recently astronomers have revealed unusual solar flare activity occurring on the sun’s surface. Even better yet, the most recent national news report is, “The sun is singing” (read full report) Wow! Talk about unusual activity! The sun is releasing its sound. It’s a sound that emanates the wanting of its Creator to see the manifestated sons of God rise in the earth. This is a small indication of what we can expect in the months and years to come. We will see creation act and respond in ways we never dreamed possible. Supernatural caretakers are rising up in this hour. Men and women, beast of the land, birds of the air, and fish in the sea, all carry the power of preservation, all have a role in preserving the earth. This global preservation is but a mere tutor toward the revelation of a new heaven and a new earth. However, the key has been given to us. We must extend the borders of our dominion, not only over the powers of darkness, but over the works of His hands. There is undoubtedly a lot of focus on exercising our spiritual authority over darkness, and rightly so, but what about the heavens? What about creation? We are the salt of the earth; therefore we are the preservation of the earth.
For centuries creation has supernaturally served humanity well. The sun assisted Joshua in winning a strategic battle. The waters came to the aide of the entire nation of Israel, enabling them to pass through the Red Sea. When the people of Israel asked for a king, Samuel said, “I will call to the Lord and He will send rain and thunder (out of season) to show His displeasure for you wanting a king.” (1Samuel 12:16-18) He did, and it happened just as Samuel said it would. There are many other recorded instances of supernatural wind and rain aiding men and women of God. If I haven’t made myself clear, “The wind, rain, sun, moon; all of creation is about to assist the people of God once again, greater than any other time in history.” The works of God’s hands are eager to assist us toward advancing the kingdom of God in the earth.
Lastly, the bible records that when Jesus gave up His spirit on the cross, the earth shook. (Matt 27:50-51) When He was resurrected from the dead, the earth shook once again. (Matt 28:2) In this same passage of Mathew 28:2, Matthew writes that “when the angel of the Lord descended to roll away the stone, the earth shook." My point is this; the earth is violently reacting to the ascending and descending of angelic beings. The angels of God are increasing in the earth to enforce the resurrection power that has been given to you and me. They are here to orchestrate the fire, wind, and rain on behalf of the saints of God in the earth. They are here to assist us in having dominion over all the works of the enemy and the works of His hands.
